A solid performance

So I have been a Maroon 5 fan for almost 20 years and have seen them probably ten times live. They always put on a good show but I cannot say it was great ... They played for about an hour and a half which is a long time but there was only one encore. I feel like in the past, they played more songs and they would do covers or have guest artists (it's LA for crying out loud). I will continue to be a huge fan but I do think they have done better shows and could do better in the future. The best part was when they had James vamping on the guitar while Adam told stories from when they were writing the song - it's the personal anecdotes that make going to a concert better than listening to the songs on the radio.

Hmm

The event parking traffic was terrible after the show was over. Stuck there for a long while. The actual Maroon5 concert started half an hour after the scheduled event ENDING time at 9:30PM, I waited for almost three hour since I arrived ahead of time. Cold and hungry. I’m not sure why this happens and I probably won’t choose this venue next time. The performance itself was great but I don’t feel well after siting in the wind for hours and apparently some ppl know about this, a lot of them show up after 9PM. I wish the venue could be more transparent on he schedule.

A MUST SEE SHOW!

Doors opened at 7, and show began at 8:15. Non stop music!! Adam has so much energy and passion for his music. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and appreciates how it started, to where they are now. The videos shown of how the band began were perfect for the occasion. The band was absolutely flawless. Loved the addition of the sax, trombone and trumpet. The acoustics and sound system were dynamic! Dolby Live is a smaller venue which made this so personable. Not a bad seat in the house! It is really hard to say what my favorite song or part was, because every single one did not disappoint. Adam sang a little bit of Prince and The Bee Gees, and sounded amazing! After a very brief break, Adam and James appeared walking amongst the crowd with just a spotlight on them to sing, "She Will Be Loved" after he read a letter to him from a Grandma wanting to surprise her grand daughter with tickets for her birthday. Adam and James located Gram, mom, and Emma, we all sang Happy Birthday to her, and he hugged all 3 ladies. The time flew by... they performed at least 15 songs. If you are in Vegas, you must go! I flew from Chicago, and it was worth it. Adam thanked all of his fans, saying how appreciative he was of our support for 2 decades. Cannot wait to see what the next 2 decades brings!

Maroon 5 drowning.. by the Bass

Dolby Live maybe was trying to show off their sound capability.. or Adam Levine wanted us to hear and feel more sound and less vocal and instruments?… who knows, it clearly the sound mixing was very disappointing. They played all their best songs and the ones where it was primarily vocals with very little supporting instrumentation were the best. Amazing vocalist. I read many reviews the next day and we’re obviously not the only ones that feel this way. It makes me realize that if they didn’t want it this way they would have fixed it. They must want to drown.
